Before and After Friday!!!  by Ethan Tweedie

Before and After Friday!!!  I just love the clean lines and monochromatic tones of this Master Ensuite!   As you can see there is a sizable amount of green/yellow color cast in the raw un-retouched image.  In order to correct this I came up with a new photoshop technique.  First, I desaturated all the color channels in the image and then painted back color into the counter plants and added back some of the warmth in the overall image. What do you think?

Art Show Update!! Vintage Mauna Kea Prints! by Ethan Tweedie

My classmate at Parker School, Jonah Roll has made available two prints by his father (My photography teacher at Parker School) former Star Bulletin Chief Photographer Warren Roll.  Proceeds from these remastered 16x16 metal prints will go towards Parker School Scholarships.

Both images were taken in 1968, the first image is the summit of Mauna Kea with only one telescope (The University of Hawaii 0.6m) and the second print is of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel shortly after it opened.

I hope to see you at the Harbor Gallery in Kawaihae, Friday August 16th 2019 from 6pm to 8pm! Come talk story!
